It wasn't an unreasonable concern. The earliest mention of the Old Man in the Mountain was 1805 and it was a New Hampshire icon appearing on our license plates, etc. It collapsed in 2003.

I have seen that before (our daughter-in-law if from NH). I do remember something about it collapsing. That's such a shame.
