Whoa, nice! I love this as a way to remix old videos... and I just can't get enough of those beautiful maps. It's like a remake! As a pro at TikTok, you've got a new way share those stories.

I was also inspired by looking at someone else's videos... (now who was it... 🤔). Canva has introduced new features that allow you to add overlays on top of a video to highlight documents, bullet points, and other details as they come up in the content of the video.

This way, the HD video is in the base, and you add the items to the timeline so they come and go relative to your words. I can't do this live, but it would be a cinch once I have a recorded video. I wish I'd known that last night. I tore my hair out using the voiceover as the baseline and then tried to synchronize the slides. (Perhaps they were deploying the new feature. Yeah... I'll blame bugs. 😉)

Great discussion last night, thanks! The videos I did on TikTok were easy to edit with their editor. It enables overlays of photos and sound, and produces captions quite rapidly. I have iMovie, as Lori said she uses, but I definitely need to take a chunk of time to learn to use it because so far, I'm super-struggling. I could not find a way to put the video on top of the background; it would only occlude it. Off-color language may have been involved. I use Canva frequently and it's what I used to add the background, the text, etc.

I think it works really well as a way to share your old videos ... And it's a really interesting story!

Thank you, Jane. I hope I can use some of these previous videos rather than perhaps remake them. Plenty of new ones to make!
